Top period dealer moves on, why?
Whilst its brilliant being the top Rembrandt dealer, with extensive knowledge and reputation that's great but if the goods are so obscure no one else knows or cars its 12th century Persian then its no good.
We have actually been busy surprising compared to the general trend but as always its down to the hard core of Top Banana Antiques dealers selling. They are doing fine some are doing very well. But they all have one thing in common they are offering clients the goods the clients want.
Maybe to bemoaned the 12th century Persian collectors like the goods are rare and hard to find. One isn't saying one should lower standards go cheaper and cheaper and more and more vintage. Far from it easy to sell a good lot for money, very hard to sell a bad lot even cheaply.
