Vintage circa 1930's Top Quality German Solid Silver Medal, of a large size, this piece being a Prize medal, the legend to the reverse of the medal reading "stasstspreis des bundes ministerivms fur handel vnd verkehr" which roughly indicates "state prize of the federal ministry for trade and transport".
In well preserved condition the medal measures 6 cm in diameter and is impressed with the 800 silver mark to the rim with the makers mark or foundry mark 'A'.
The silver has a lovely aged patina, no dings or damage.
