A scarce large die stamped brass "Dog & Bonnet" Victorian Royal Marines valise badge with bottom scroll inscribed with their motto "Per Mare Per Terram" or 'By Sea By Land'. In good used condition with minor tarnishing with box loop to the reverse, the tang is sadly missing, see pictures.
Dimensions are: 9.5 x 6.5 cm or 3.74 x 2.55 Inches.
