What is a Southern Cross
Whilst in this case it's a brooch, it is also a constellation seen from the Southern Hemisphere.
There is also a northern star but for some reason the brooches whilst available do not seem as popular.
In particular this constellation can be seen in Asia and Australasia.
The Northern star seems to of being made in South Africa and the Southern cross normally in Australia, more usually in gold this one is are to be in silver, and with cabochon stones.
