I was pleasantly surprised to be met with a warm but casual greeting from a cheerful, well presented young man. I immediately noticed that the shop had a lively, busy but very relaxed atmosphere with lots of bustle and conversation and cool music to boot.

I was delighted to see a large range of contemporary, stylish chrome and leather items from the 1960s.

I was amazed at the range of goods available from a humble but useful brass door knocker at £5.00 to an £18,000 Grandfather clock with a fine marquetry case.

We were able to wander through all 4 shops at our own pace without any pressure or hassle, yet when I did enquire about a Steiff teddy bear, I immediately received information, helpful and unpressured information.

After spending 3 – 4 hours, my overall impression was that whether you were looking for a silver Christening mug or that Doulton figure you need to complete your collection or are furnishing your home, Top Banana comes up trumps on every score. A great experience from start to finish."
